Work Environment

This position operates within a home care setting, offering the flexibility to provide therapy in clients' own residences. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function for orthopedic patients.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional levels by performing diagnostic tests on muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
• Assess the home environment to implement appropriate modifications that enhance client independence and safety.
• Implement prescribed physical therapy services in clients' homes while adhering to medical protocols set forth by physicians.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, motivate clients, and supervise functional activities to achieve treatment goals.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, making recommendations for modifications to physicians.
• Prepare accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries for the clinical record.
• Participate in assessment reviews and interdisciplinary case conferences, contributing to comprehensive treatment planning.
• Educate clients and their families on home therapy programs and the use of physical therapy equipment.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in accordance with legal guidelines and company policy.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while documenting care activities timely and accurately.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on clients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or ailments, requiring hands-on assistance and therapeutic interventions. Our diverse patient population encompasses individuals of various ages and mobility levels, all entitled to personalized care that fosters recovery and independence. The Physical Therapist will adapt treatment strategies to accommodate clients' unique physical and emotional challenges.

Qualifications

• A current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited physical therapy program; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• One year of professional experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably with a home care focus.
• Current CPR certification to ensure the highest level of client safety.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, alongside comprehensive benefits that include healthcare, dental, and vision coverage.
