Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients’ symptoms regarding mood disorders, documenting the frequency, intensity, and impact on daily functioning. Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on the evolving needs and goals of each client. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment. Provide education and advocacy regarding mood disorders, enabling clients and their families to understand treatment options and develop self-care strategies. Monitor and document client progress regularly, ensuring adjustments are made to treatment plans in collaboration with clients. Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to continually enhance therapeutic practices. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in clinical documentation, adhering to all relevant legal and ethical standards. Participate in regular supervision, training, and case discussions to foster professional development and continuous improvement. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will primarily work with adults and adolescents struggling with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your empathy, active listening skills, and culturally sensitive approach will be crucial in establishing trusting relationships with clients from various backgrounds, including those facing challenges such as homelessness, refugee status, or domestic violence. Your insight and guidance will play a vital role in their recovery process, making a significant difference in their lives. Qualifications Active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory for this position. A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and a safe therapeutic alliance with clients. A compassionate, nonjudgmental attitude towards clients’ unique experiences and challenges. Demonstrated proficiency in organizational and time management skills to effectively handle a diverse caseload. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with your qualifications and experience.
