Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at our onsite rehabilitation facility, you will work in a dynamic atmosphere focused on collaborative patient care. Our typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, providing a consistent routine while allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical needs, mobility, and existing impairments. This requires detailed evaluations and the setting of measurable, realistic goals tailored to each patient's abilities.
• Design and implement individualized Treatment Plans based on these evaluations, ensuring that each plan includes short-term and long-term goals as well as necessary modifications as patients progress.
• Regularly document patient treatment and progress accurately and in compliance with established medical documentation standards.
• Provide education and resources to patients and caregivers, empowering them in the recovery process.
• Continuously engage in professional development by attending workshops and reviewing current literature, ensuring that your practices align with the latest evidence-based methodologies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the facility to create a streamlined care plan that addresses all aspects of the patient's rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic ranges widely, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapy license to practice in Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (with AED).
• A minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience in physical therapy.
• A strong capacity for empathy, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journeys.
• Familiarity with the latest treatment methodologies and equipment in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an orthopedic setting, with proficiency in evidence-based rehabilitation techniques.
• Knowledge of advanced treatment methodologies such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems to streamline documentation and reporting processes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
