Work Environment\n

This position operates in a remote capacity, enabling you to provide counseling and support for clients at a detox center in Spokane, Washington. Our organization emphasizes work-life balance while ensuring that you have access to the resources necessary to engage effectively with our multidisciplinary team. While the primary hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, there may be occasional evening and weekend shifts, as well as on-call responsibilities, to address urgent mental health situations.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of individuals in the detox center, evaluating their personal histories, presenting mental health concerns, and identifying key risk factors that may affect treatment.

• Collaborate with each patient to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on mental health stabilization, emotional well-being, and plans for successful reintegration once detox is completed.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy, tailoring sessions to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, promoting personal growth, emotional regulation, and effective coping mechanisms during recovery.

• Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to mental health treatment, advocating for resources and services as needed.

• Respond to mental health crises with timely interventions, employing de-escalation techniques and making appropriate referrals for patients requiring intensive support.

• Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families, empowering them to understand mental health challenges, treatment pathways, and community resources that can facilitate ongoing recovery.

• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress notes to comply with both legal and ethical standards, contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
