Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored specifically for children and their families, either in-home or in our outpatient center, ensuring a personalized approach to care.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic strategies to address anger management, develop coping skills, and enhance social abilities in children, while reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious actions or physical aggression.

• Support caregivers by developing effective parenting strategies and decision-making skills to manage behavioral challenges at home.
\n
• Collaborate actively with the Child Family Treatment Team, which includes social workers and other healthcare professionals, to create a cohesive care plan for each client.
\n
• Maintain meticulous records, ensuring all documentation such as intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes are submitted timely and accurately.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss client progress and contribute valuable recommendations for improving therapy services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on a diverse group of children aged 3 to 20 who are facing developmental disabilities or intellectual challenges. Your work will be essential in providing them with the support they need to thrive emotionally and socially. Given the cultural diversity of our clients, bilingual skills will enhance communication, engagement, and overall effectiveness of the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Pennsylvania.
\n
• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with added flexibility for weekends being advantageous.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in providing positive behavior support to children and adolescents.
\n
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for transportation to clients' homes.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working specifically with children and adolescents who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

• Familiarity with therapeutic methodologies dedicated to youth, including play therapy and cognitive-behavioral techniques.

Compensation and Benefits\n
