Work Environment\n

This is a full-time remote position that also involves in-office collaboration at our outpatient facilities located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Our team-oriented approach encourages you to work closely with a diverse group of professionals from various disciplines, ensuring that you receive ongoing support while enhancing your skills. Our work culture emphasizes flexibility, allowing you to schedule consultations primarily during after-school hours between 4 PM and 7 PM, with weekend availability as a plus.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in clients' homes or at our outpatient center, focusing on various psychological and behavioral challenges.

• Implement therapeutic techniques aimed at managing anger, enhancing coping mechanisms, and improving social skills while addressing and reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.

• Assist caregivers in developing effective decision-making strategies to manage behavioral concerns in home settings.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, including social workers and educational specialists, to devise comprehensive care plans.
\n
• Maintain meticulous progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring all documentation is submitted within prescribed time frames.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, actively contributing insights and recommendations based on your interactions with clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses primarily on children and youth between the ages of 3 and 20 who exhibit a range of developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will be working closely with their families, equipping them with tools and strategies that promote positive behavior and foster resilience. Your contributions directly impact these children's ability to thrive in their home environments and overall development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Pennsylvania.

• A commitment to working a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during peak after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with flexibility for weekend sessions preferred.

• Experience providing positive behavior support and intervention strategies.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents, especially those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• Demonstrated ability in providing culturally sensitive therapy to clients from various backgrounds.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to clients’ homes.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
