Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and document client histories to inform treatment strategies.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions as well as group therapy, employing appropriate therapeutic techniques tailored to the client population.

• Continuously monitor and assess therapeutic progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on client feedback and clinical findings.

• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to develop comprehensive intervention plans.

• Manage referrals to additional specialists as required, ensuring a coordinated approach to client care.

• Provide support and education to family members or primary caregivers, assisting them in navigating mental health challenges.

• Identify and mitigate barriers to recovery, actively promoting strategies that enhance client engagement and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As part of our community health initiative, you will work with a varied client population encompassing a wide range of ages and backgrounds. Clients may present with issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and relational difficulties. Our clinic emphasizes culturally competent care, ensuring that services are respectful and responsive to the diverse needs of our community.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in Florida is mandatory.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated previous experience in a mental health counseling role, showcasing your clinical acumen and client interaction skills.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, with specific experience in AVATAR preferred.
\n
• Knowledge of the interplay between mental health and physical health, as well as familiarity with addiction disorders and treatment methodologies.

• Adherence to best practices in mental health as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with an ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.

• Empathetic disposition and strong interpersonal skills, essential for working effectively with individuals from varied life experiences.

• Experience with trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Prior work within a community clinic or similar setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
