Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Group Therapy: Facilitate engaging teletherapy sessions that create a safe space for clients to connect, express, and support each other through shared experiences.
• Individual Therapy: Deliver tailored counseling aimed at helping clients understand their thoughts and emotions, guiding them in developing personalized coping strategies and action plans.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to formulate comprehensive treatment plans that address their specific concerns, goals, and preferences.
• Progress Monitoring: Assess and track client progress using various tools and methodologies, ensuring they remain on track to meet their therapeutic goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role primarily focuses on young adults aged 18 to 30 who are participants in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). These individuals often face a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional challenges. As part of your work, you will provide empathetic support, recognizing the unique experiences each client brings to their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• A valid and active LPC license in New Jersey.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients.
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment while maintaining accessibility to clients.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have experience in mental health counseling, particularly working with young adults or in telehealth settings. Proficiency in evidence-based practices and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
