Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth psychosocial assessments of students through interviews, observations, and the review of educational and medical records to identify emotional, social, and environmental factors influencing their academic performance and personal development.

• Provide counseling and supportive therapy to students and their families, facilitating discussions about adjustment issues, emotional responses, and coping strategies related to school challenges.

• Work closely with the educational team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address students’ psychosocial needs and educational goals.

• Assist students and families in accessing valuable community resources, such as mental health support groups, vocational rehabilitation, or housing assistance to enhance their overall well-being.

• Engage in active collaboration during discharge planning and facilitate smooth transitions for students returning home or to other care environments.

Your primary focus will be on students within the school system, which includes children and adolescents facing various challenges such as emotional distress, learning disabilities, and behavioral issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.

• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
