Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Valera, you will:

• Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function.
• Conduct thorough evaluations using diagnostic assessments to measure muscle, nerve, and joint capabilities, tailoring approaches to each patient's needs.
• Oversee the execution of therapy sessions led by Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring care plans are adhered to and adjusted as necessary.
• Provide therapy services within our rehabilitation center, utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques and interventions as prescribed.
• Guide patients through manual and non-manual therapeutic exercises and facilitate functional activities to promote recovery.
• Evaluate patients' home environments when needed to recommend modifications that enable independence and safety.
• Document patient progress through detailed clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adapt treatment approaches collaboratively.
• Engage with patients and their families to provide education on therapy protocols, equipment usage, and expected outcomes.
• Ensure timely submission of clinical and payroll documentation in accordance with company policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
