Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaboratively coordinate mental health interventions with the Medical Director and fellow medical staff both within and outside the facility.

• Conduct mental health training sessions and provide in-service education for the medical and psychiatric teams, enhancing their understanding of mental health challenges.

• Proactively intervene and de-escalate mental health crises as they arise, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

• Attend commitment hearings and advocate for patient needs when necessary, representing Park Avenue Psychotherapy in formal settings.

• Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of clients, setting goals that facilitate their recovery journey.

• Maintain thorough documentation of all patient interactions and treatment progress in compliance with health regulations.

• Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality in managing patient medical records, fostering trust and integrity within client relationships.

• Verify patient histories, particularly focusing on mental health and any psychotropic medications utilized by clients.

• Prepare detailed reports, both scheduled and ad-hoc, addressing patient outcomes and treatment effectiveness.

• Collaborate with nursing and mental health staff to arrange post-release referrals, ensuring continuity of care for clients.
