Vital Strength PT, located in the heart of Chesapeake, Virginia, is seeking a committed and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. In this engaging role, you will be pivotal in aiding our patients on their journey to recovery by restoring motion and enhancing their overall quality of life. At Vital Strength PT, we pride ourselves on being a leading provider of physical therapy services in the Chesapeake area. Our facility spans 5,000 square feet and is designed with a state-of-the-art layout to accommodate athletes and individuals seeking specialized care. We accept a variety of private health insurance providers, allowing us to offer comprehensive care tailored to each patient's needs. Our team consists of two dedicated physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), all of whom are committed to providing high-quality treatment to our patient community.

Work Environment

This role will be based onsite, primarily in a home care setting. You will collaborate closely with a small, dedicated team, ensuring personalized care plans and hands-on education throughout the treatment process. Our congenial work environment encourages teamwork and open communication, which enhances our ability to provide quality patient care. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and mobility goals.
• Manage a caseload, treating 2 to 3 patients per hour with individualized therapy sessions aimed at achieving optimal outcomes.
• Develop and implement customized care plans utilizing a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy and exercise-based interventions.
• Educate patients on exercises and techniques to improve flexibility, strength, and coordination.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive treatment approach, adjusting plans as needed based on ongoing evaluations.
• Utilize EMR software such as WebPT for accurate documentation and tracking of patient progress.
• Inspire and motivate patients through encouragement and positive feedback as they work towards rehabilitation.
• Monitor treatment results and make necessary adjustments to care plans to enhance patient outcomes.
• Track patient data and communicate advancements to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Advocate for conservative treatment options to reduce reliance on prescription medications.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active state Physical Therapist License to practice in Virginia.
• Clear of any board actions or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficient in manual therapy skills and techniques.
• Familiarity with EMR software such as WebPT for patient documentation and progress tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic outpatient care is preferred to align with our patient population.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement individualized fitness and wellness plans.
• Previous experience working in a home care or community setting is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
