Work Environment

The Nurse Practitioner at Restoring Healthcare Clinic will work in an onsite school setting, which fosters a unique opportunity for direct engagement with children and their families. You will operate in a supportive and collaborative team environment that includes physicians, nurses, and healthcare educators. Your typical work schedule will range from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics that may extend until 8:00 p.m., as well as participation in community outreach events or health fairs on weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and screenings for individuals and families, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Diagnose and effectively manage both acute and chronic health conditions, ensuring preventive care and health promotion strategies are implemented.
• Collaborate with community organizations to tailor health education programs that meet the unique needs of our patient population.
• Provide culturally competent care, advocating for patient rights and accessible healthcare services for all community members.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care, guaranteeing continuity of care and a positive patient experience.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with state regulations and best practices, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Engage in community outreach efforts and attend health fairs to deliver health screenings, while raising awareness about available healthcare services.

Qualifications

• A current certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• An active state nursing license to practice in New York.
• A Bachelor's Degree in nursing or an equivalent qualification.
• A Master's Degree in nursing from an accredited program is preferred.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in community health or public health settings.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

While three years of clinical experience is required, we value candidates who bring 3-5 years of seasoned expertise, particularly in settings focused on community health. Compensation and Benefits

In recognition of your professional commitment and expertise, we offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 to $200,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
