Work Environment

The Nurse Practitioner will work primarily onsite at our outpatient office in Uniondale, an area rich in cultural diversity and community spirit. The work schedule typically runs from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics until 8:00 p.m. You may also participate in community outreach events, such as health fairs, that could occur on weekends. This role entails an average workweek of approximately 40 hours, allowing you to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments while making a tangible impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth health assessments and screenings for individuals and families, identifying both medical and psychosocial factors affecting their well-being.
• Diagnose and manage a range of acute and chronic medical conditions, delivering preventive care and health promotion tailored to patient needs.
• Collaborate actively with community organizations and stakeholders to design and implement innovative health education programs aimed at improving public health awareness.
• Ensure culturally sensitive care is provided, advocating for the rights of patients and striving to enhance their access to healthcare services.

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Current state nursing license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York.
• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing; a Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The Nurse Practitioner position offers a competitive salary range of USD 180,000 to 200,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
