Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of assigned patients, using established clinical standards and a variety of assessment tools that inform treatment plans.
• Develop, implement, and oversee individualized treatment programs aimed at restoring functionality, improving mobility, relieving pain, and preventing long-term disabilities.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to tailor comprehensive care strategies that address the diverse needs of our patients.
• Document all evaluation and treatment sessions accurately in our electronic medical record system, ensuring both compliance and clarity in communication with team members.
• Screen patients for varying healthcare needs, including but not limited to lymphedema management, fall risk assessments, and rehabilitation requirements.
• Engage in continuous professional development through opportunities such as presentations, publications, and mentorship of students and interns, contributing to departmental education initiatives.
• Provide inpatient care, managing cases in both clinical and hospital settings, tailored to the needs of our diverse patient population.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve at Positive Change Therapy range from those recovering from acute injuries and surgeries to individuals dealing with chronic pain and rehabilitative challenges due to illnesses. You will work closely with adults, geriatrics, and pediatric patients, ensuring a broad spectrum of care tailored to each patient's unique circumstances and requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Physical Therapy License.
• Master's Degree or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated clinical experience; ideally a minimum of one year in an acute care or rehabilitation setting.
• Strong understanding of physical therapy practices, including proficiency in techniques such as trigger point therapy and familiarity with hospital medicine.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology essential for effective treatment planning and execution.
• Ability and comfort in working with pediatric patients, understanding their unique needs and therapeutic approaches.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team and to educate patients on their treatment goals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation facility or comparable setting is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive annual salary in the range of USD 120,000–130,000.
