Work Environment

This role will be performed in a home care setting, ensuring that we provide therapy services in the most comfortable and familiar environment for our patients. Our work environment promotes collaboration among healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, nursing staff, and rehabilitation aides, emphasizing a harmonious approach to patient care. From Monday to Friday, you will have a consistent schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Bodywise Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions, such as post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and degenerative disorders.
• Developing and implementing tailored, evidence-based treatment plans that integrate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities for pain management and functional recovery.
• Monitoring patient progress by reassessing their condition and modifying treatment plans in response to their evolving needs.
• Educating patients and their family members on rehabilitative techniques, injury prevention strategies, and home exercise programs to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Collaborating with physicians, occupational therapists, and other specialists to ensure holistic and comprehensive patient care.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic patient records, compliant with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients dealing with orthopedic conditions, which require a keen understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy and rehabilitation strategies. These may include individuals recovering from surgeries, chronic pain syndromes, and sports-related injuries. You will be responsible for instilling confidence in your patients and assuring them that they will receive top-quality care tailored to their specific needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active and valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience specifically in outpatient orthopedics, with familiarity in treatment of complex cases preferred.
• Strong proficiency in orthopedic assessment techniques, therapeutic modalities, and patient-centric care planning.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

While three years of experience is required, candidates with experience in geriatrics, acute care settings, or experience with cutting-edge rehabilitation technologies will be given preference. A track record of applying best practices in patient management and the ability to adapt to diverse patient needs will set you apart in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

Bodywise Physical Therapy LLC offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 – $120,000 annually, directly commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
