Work Environment

This position is onsite, requiring travel to patients' homes within the Port Saint Lucie area. Working Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM provides an ideal work-life balance while ensuring that you dedicate ample time to each patient without the constraints of typical clinical settings. The home care environment offers unique opportunities to observe how each patient interacts with their surroundings, which can significantly influence treatment approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments of patients' physical conditions to establish appropriate therapy goals.
• Maintain an individualized patient load, managing one patient per hour to ensure focused and effective therapy sessions.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy to improve patients' mobility and functionality.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the needs and goals of each patient, which may include exercise regimens and lifestyle modifications.
• Implement and oversee cost-effective therapy options that prioritize rehabilitation without excessive reliance on medications.
• Educate patients and their families about care plans, encouraging participation in their recovery journey.
• Document patient progress comprehensively to monitor outcomes and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure an integrated approach to finding solutions for patients' complex needs.
• Encourage patients through motivational techniques to support their active participation in their own health management.
• Promote health and wellness strategies that enhance strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient population served at Insightful Motion Therapy primarily includes individuals with orthopedic injuries, post-operative rehabilitation needs, and age-related mobility challenges. You will work with patients from diverse backgrounds, each requiring individualized attention and tailored treatment plans. Your efforts will be crucial in restoring their independence and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) is required.
• Current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist within the state of Florida.
• A clean disciplinary record with no board infractions or disciplinary actions on your license.
• Exemplary manual therapy skills at a proficient level.
• Experience in designing and implementing exercise programs for diverse patient demographics.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software, preferably WebPT, is highly desired.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirements focus on relevant educational credentials and licensure, we highly value candidates with prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings. Familiarity with home care settings is an advantage, as it demonstrates adaptability and understanding of the unique challenges presented in such environments.
