Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations of residents to assess their physical condition and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Perform ongoing assessments and document residents' progress meticulously, adapting therapy methods as required to optimize outcomes.
• Engage in regular collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and nursing staff, to ensure holistic care for residents.
• Educate patients and their families on the significance of home exercise programs and lifestyle modifications to maintain health post-treatment.
• Implement therapeutic techniques including therapeutic exercises and manual therapy, and utilize modalities in line with best practices for physical rehabilitation.
• Ensure strict adherence to state and federal regulations while maintaining the highest professional standards of practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The role will primarily focus on treating residents with orthopedic conditions, ranging from postoperative rehabilitation to chronic pain management. We serve a diverse patient population, including geriatric clients who often require specialized approaches to address their unique physical challenges. Your expertise will significantly contribute to enhancing these individuals' mobility, strength, and overall functional independence.

Qualifications

• A current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist within the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (a Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred).
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration within our care teams.
• A deep commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest rehabilitation techniques and methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of proven experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation facility.
