Work Environment

This position is based at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, which features modern equipment and a supportive environment aimed at fostering patient recovery. You will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, though occasional flexibility may be required to meet the needs of our patients and clinic operations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough patient assessments, ensuring a holistic approach to therapy that emphasizes improvement in mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities tailored to their specific rehabilitation goals, promoting physical well-being and alleviating pain.
• Educate patients on body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home exercise programs, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery journey.
• Administer therapeutic modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor and meticulously document patient progress, maintaining accurate records of range of motion, strength changes, and functional improvements to inform ongoing treatment plans.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are organized and readily available for efficient therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to provide integrated care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Foster emotional support and encouragement to patients, creating a motivating, positive atmosphere throughout their rehabilitation process.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and respecting the dignity and rights of all individuals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients range in age from children to seniors and include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological disorders, sports injuries, and age-related conditions. Your role will involve assessing and treating a variety of physical impairments, enabling you to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals and families. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating competency in delivering physical therapy services.
• Current state licensure or ability to obtain licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
• Proficient in using relevant therapeutic equipment and modalities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation facility, particularly in diverse therapy modalities including, but not limited to, sports and post-surgical rehabilitation.
• Certification in specialized therapeutic areas, such as dry needling or manual therapy techniques, is advantageous.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems to efficiently manage patient documentation and progress tracking.

Compensation and Benefits
