Work Environment

This role will be performed onsite at a school facility, where the clinician will work closely with educational staff and other healthcare providers to facilitate comprehensive mental health services on-site. Our clinic's culture emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and the importance of mental health education, creating a supportive atmosphere for both staff and students. The work schedule is full-time, with operational hours from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations to accurately diagnose mental health conditions in students.
• Administer medication management, carefully monitoring treatment efficacy and making necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with primary care providers, school counselors, and educational staff to offer integrated care plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Provide crisis intervention services, offering support during acute emotional distress or behavioral issues.
• Engage in community outreach and educational initiatives aimed at raising mental health awareness among students, parents, and school staff.
• Deliver therapeutic support through counseling and psychoeducation, effectively addressing the mental health needs of your patients.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specifically targets a diverse group of students who may present with a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma-related issues. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will focus on delivering care that caters to these unique challenges while working collaboratively with families and staff to foster a supportive environment conducive to mental wellness.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing with specialization as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a psychiatric focus.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
