Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive individual and group therapy sessions that facilitate open dialogue and healing.
• Carry out thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental and emotional health, including suicidal risk screening and substance dependency evaluations.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, tailoring interventions to meet the specific needs of each client.
• Provide crisis intervention services for clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring immediate support and safety.
• Deliver psychoeducation to clients and their families, equipping them with valuable tools and resources to foster understanding and resilience.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records adhering to HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality is prioritized.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including primary care providers and psychiatrists, to create a comprehensive support network for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse clientele, including adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, as well as adolescents navigating the complexities of adolescence. By fostering a culturally competent and inclusive practice, you will ensure that all clients feel heard, understood, and validated during their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Tennessee.
• Demonstrated experience working with clients from varied backgrounds, showcasing cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective therapeutic relationships.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think critically under pressure.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical practices within all interactions.
• A willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with telehealth platforms, enhancing remote client engagement.
• Specialized training in modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care.
• Prior experience working in a counseling or mental health setting is highly desirable.
