Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify clients’ trauma histories and applicable treatment methodologies.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that target trauma recovery and cultivate resilience in clients.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate safe and supportive environments for clients to process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for clients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with all ethical and legal standards.
\n
• Engage in case consultations and participate in regular team meetings and professional development activities to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about ongoing research and emerging best practices in trauma therapy and mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients dealing with various trauma-related issues, including but not limited to childhood trauma, abuse, and anxiety stemming from traumatic experiences. Our clients seek a safe space to heal and develop resilience, making your role crucial in guiding them through their journeys. We encourage the exploration of individual and group dynamics and welcome counselors willing to work with couples—training will be provided.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
\n
• Valid and active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications to maintain efficient documentation and practice management.
\n
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on building rapport with clients in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.

• The ability to remain composed in high-stress circumstances.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 70,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
