Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Perform detailed mental health assessments for elderly clients to identify their specific emotional and psychological needs.
• Deliver Individual and Group Counseling: Offer tailored therapeutic interventions for both individual clients and facilitate group counseling sessions focusing on chronic illness, bereavement, and life transitions.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work alongside interdisciplinary teams—including doctors, social workers, and nurses—to create individualized care plans that address the comprehensive needs of geriatric patients.
• Education and Support: Provide guidance to families and staff on strategies to improve the mental well-being and quality of life of elderly patients.
• Grief and Loss Counseling: Conduct specialized counseling for individuals grappling with grief and loss, particularly in the context of end-of-life issues.
