Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Happy & Joyful Thoughts, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess physical conditions, strength, mobility, and functional capabilities.
• Develop customized treatment plans utilizing methods such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, hydrotherapy, and modalities to enhance patient recovery.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions tailored to individual needs, ensuring progress is made toward recovery goals.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes meticulously, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitating effective communication with the healthcare team.
• Regularly re-evaluate treatment plans based on patient responses and adjust strategies to achieve optimal results.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic methods, self-care strategies, and use of assistive devices for enhanced mobility and self-sufficiency.
• Participate in professional development by attending workshops, conferences, and engaging in continuing education opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapist role involves working with a diverse patient population comprising children, adults, and seniors who present with various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. You will assist patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions, helping them restore their physical independence and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

The successful candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid State license to practice Physical Therapy in New Jersey.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to convey treatment plans and educational information effectively.
• Proficient computer and word processing skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
