Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' physical abilities and disabilities related to orthopedic conditions.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that address each patient's specific challenges, integrating both therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.
• Administer physical therapy services including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education to enhance recovery and rehabilitation.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document all patient interactions and outcomes accurately in our health records Management System.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to devise comprehensive care plans that improve patient adherence and outcomes.
• Provide supervision and guidance for physical therapy assistants and rehabilitation technicians, ensuring they deliver quality care under your instruction.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and rapport with all patients, fostering a trusting relationship that enhances the therapeutic alliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily support patients recovering from orthopedic surgery, injury, or chronic pain conditions. These may include, but are not limited to, individuals with joint replacements, sports injuries, and repetitive strain injuries. The therapist will need to deliver compassionate care tailored to each patient's unique experience, fostering their self-efficacy in managing their rehabilitative journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Virginia.
• A valid American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
• Demonstrated ability to operate therapy equipment safely and evaluate patients' functional capabilities.
• Strong ability to relate professionally with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members, emphasizing exceptional customer service.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, with a solid grasp of orthopedic assessments and sports rehabilitation techniques.

Compensation and Benefits
