Key Responsibilities\n

• Develop and implement clinical treatment plans for clients suffering from acute or chronic mental health disorders, collaborating in treatment planning discussions with multidisciplinary teams.

• Provide individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy in outpatient settings, tailoring approaches to meet specific client needs and therapeutic goals.

• Guide patients and their families in adhering to prescribed treatment regimens, including medication management, as indicated by the client’s conditions and care plans.

• Maintain meticulous documentation, including treatment records, intake summaries, and case notes, in compliance with state regulations and best practices to ensure continuity of care.

• Screen patients for psychiatric medication needs in collaboration with medical doctors and offer referrals to community resources when necessary.
\n
• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups to empower clients and their families with knowledge and coping skills.
\n
• Participate in an on-call rotation to address urgent client needs as they arise.
\n
• Ensure appropriate safety measures are taken, including mandatory reporting when client safety is at risk.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The mental health counselor will work primarily with diverse adult and child populations who present with various mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. The counselor will employ a person-centered approach, recognizing cultural sensitivities and individual circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current California licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• National Provider Identifier (NPI) number required upon hire.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in outpatient mental health settings, with demonstrated competence in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions.

• Previous experience utilizing teletherapy tools and practices, especially in creating engaging remote therapeutic environments.

• Experience in group facilitation and psychoeducation is preferred.

• Prior supervisory experience or willingness to participate in mentorship or supervisory roles for associates is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $122,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
