Licensed Physical Therapist - Full-Time, Home Care Setting

The Move Mend Clinic is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. This position focuses on delivering high-quality in-home physical therapy services in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing treatment for a diverse range of injuries, diseases, and disabilities, implementing effective physical therapy modalities tailored to our clients' unique needs.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite, delivering home care services directly to patients in Atlantic City and the surrounding areas. The clinic emphasizes a flexible and collaborative atmosphere that encourages professionals to engage in ongoing education and community outreach. Our operating hours are from 9:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist will undertake a variety of responsibilities that encompass comprehensive patient care. Key tasks include:

• Screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for patients based on physical therapy standards.
• Consulting and educating patients and their caregivers about therapy procedures, goals, and expected outcomes.
• Performing subjective and objective evaluations to inform treatment plans while adjusting goals based on patient progress.
• Maintaining accurate patient documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and clinic protocols.
• Collaborating effectively with healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Sustaining department productivity standards while providing exceptional care.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction results.
• Overseeing and mentoring physical therapy assistants and students, ensuring a cohesive team approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a wide-ranging patient population, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients. With home care demands, practitioners must be equipped to adapt treatments based on individual client environments and unique conditions.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a current state license as a Physical Therapist.
• Hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Demonstrate experience in a clinical setting, ideally in home care or rehabilitation.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and educate clients and their families.
• Have the physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of this role, including lifting, carrying, and demonstrated manual dexterity.

Preferred Experience

While 1 year of professional experience is required, candidates with additional credentials or specializations in pediatric or geriatric therapy services are highly desired. Experience with electronic medical records and treatment documentation systems will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
