The General Hope Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team in Aurora, Illinois. Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for work-life balance while still providing vital support to our patients. Our team utilizes a collaborative approach, working closely with mental health professionals, psychiatrists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive care. The flexibility in scheduling, with core hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allows for accommodating patient needs as well as individual therapist schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, needs, and strengths.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans designed to foster trauma recovery, resilience, and emotional well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively address trauma.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma and building effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate integrated care for each patient.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies to ensure immediate support and guidance.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing case consultations and team meetings to enhance care approaches focused on trauma-informed practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with adult and adolescent clients who have experienced various forms of trauma. This population may include survivors of abuse, domestic violence, and natural disasters. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping them develop resilience, process their experiences, and achieve mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in mental health counseling.

• Extensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for effective communication and rapport-building with patients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
