Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique trauma history and determine the most effective treatment strategies.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience building, and skill development for coping with symptoms.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailoring each approach to individual needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and build a sense of community.

• Engage with a collaborative team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow counselors to ensure holistic care, addressing all aspects of a patient’s mental health.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and stabilization support, using your expertise to handle emergencies effectively and compassionately.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources to facilitate a deeper understanding of the healing process.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely documentation in compliance with state laws and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of patient records.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development initiatives focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay updated on the latest research and developments in trauma therapy and incorporate new findings into practice to benefit our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals affected by trauma, including adults and children facing challenges related to PTSD, anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling, particularly with trauma populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
