Work Environment\n

This full-time position is predominantly remote, allowing you the flexibility to provide support and therapeutic interventions from the comfort of your home. Our telehealth model is designed to cater to the specific needs of our clients, ensuring accessibility and convenience while maintaining a strong emphasis on building a therapeutic alliance. You will work Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some degree of scheduling flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand clients' unique trauma histories and corresponding treatment needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental health.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, employing techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to help participants process trauma, acquire coping strategies, and foster healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, providing immediate assistance to clients in distress.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to aid their understanding and recovery.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities related to trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continuously enhance clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Mental Health Therapist will primarily work with clients suffering from trauma-related conditions, providing them with empathetic support and guidance on their recovery journey. Our patient population includes diverse individuals, each with their own unique experiences of trauma, from veterans facing PTSD to individuals who have experienced interpersonal violence. This role requires not only clinical expertise but also a deep commitment to understanding and validating each patient’s personal story.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state.

• Strong comprehension of trauma-related disorders and knowledge in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to clinical practice.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and modern computer applications is essential.

• Ability to handle high-stress situations with composure, maintaining a focused approach to patient care.

• A collaborative mindset, able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team structure.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, particularly in delivering trauma-focused therapies.

• A proven track record of applying evidence-based practices in clinical settings focusing on trauma recovery.
