Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver personalized individual and group therapy sessions, either within the client's home or at our outpatient facility, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

• Implement strategies for anger management, coping mechanisms, and social skills development while actively reducing high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior and physical aggression.

• Support families by enhancing decision-making skills that enable caregivers to effectively manage behavioral challenges at home.

• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and liaise with other professionals to provide holistic support for the youth and their families.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes, submitting them in a timely manner according to clinic guidelines.

• Participate in monthly team meetings, proactively contributing insights and feedback to further enhance our services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of your work will be on children and adolescents between the ages of 3 and 20 who have developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license, allowing you to practice within the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum commitment of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with some weekend availability being beneficial.

• Proven experience in providing positive behavior support and therapeutic interventions.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with children aged 3-20, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese to better serve our diverse client base.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for potential in-home visits.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting as mandated by state regulations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
