Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, both in-home and remotely, focusing on evidence-based practices to support children with emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Implement anger management techniques and teach coping and social skills to clients, aiming to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or aggression.

• Collaborate closely with caregivers to improve decision-making skills and to develop effective strategies for managing in-home behavioral issues.

• Work in concert with the Child Family Treatment Team and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a unified approach to therapy and support.

• Document all required reports including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to established timelines to guarantee consistency and quality in clinical records.

• Participate in monthly team meetings to review cases, share insights, and propose recommendations for continued service enhancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily targets children aged 3-20 with developmental disabilities and associated mental health challenges. You will engage with a diverse population, providing culturally competent care to assist clients and their families in overcoming obstacles to their growth and development. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field is mandatory.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is required.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours weekly during after-school hours, specifically from 4-7 PM, with additional flexibility for weekends.

• Proficient in providing positive behavior support and crisis intervention.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for potential in-home visits.

• Completion of a criminal background check is mandatory, inclusive of fingerprinting.
