Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations and follow-up assessments, meticulously documenting all client interactions and treatment plans.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery strategies for a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions that promote emotional healing and group sessions that enhance social support and shared experiences among clients.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes in line with predefined therapeutic goals.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create cohesive treatment plans and referral pathways.

• Ensure consistent follow-up with healthcare providers for clients requiring inpatient care or specialized interventions, maintaining a coordinated approach to treatment.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery, developing strategies to mitigate risks and enhance client engagement in their treatment journeys.

• Support clients’ primary caregivers and family members in addressing challenges related to mental health, providing them with resources and strategies to foster a supportive environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a broad range of clients experiencing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and more. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated training in psychotherapy and counseling theories with an extensive foundation in clinical practice.

Preferred Experience\n

• Relevant experience in mental health counseling in a telehealth framework, with a familiarity of electronic health record systems (EHR) such as AVATAR.

• Experience working with clients facing co-occurring disorders, such as mental health and addiction issues.

• Knowledge of the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) to guide treatment planning and therapeutic interventions.

• Strong grasp of psychotropic medications and their effects, gained through collaboration with medical professionals.
