Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct detailed and comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health concerns, utilizing standardized diagnostic tools to formulate accurate clinical diagnoses.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect each client's unique needs, goals, and preferences, and adjust these plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the formats most conducive to client progress.

  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with all ethical and legal standards while documenting progress notes and assessment results.

  • Offer crisis intervention services for clients facing acute mental health emergencies, employing your clinical skills to assess risk and implement immediate support strategies.

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care for clients.

  • Advocate for clients’ rights and provide education on mental health issues, including treatment options and community resources, to empower clients and their families.

  • Engage in continuous professional development by attending training sessions, workshops, and seminars to stay abreast of the latest best practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse adult and adolescent population experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your role will involve tailoring therapeutic approaches to meet the specific cultural, socioeconomic, and personal contexts of each client, ensuring a compassionate and understanding therapeutic environment.

Qualifications\n

  • Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
