Key Responsibilities

• Engage directly with clients dealing with significant mental health issues and emotional disorders, providing both individual and group therapy in a comfortable, supportive manner.
• Participate actively in a multidisciplinary team, contributing to collective goals such as developing integrated care plans and ensuring continuity of care.
• Conduct thorough assessments, establishing treatment goals, and designing focused interventions reflective of each client’s unique circumstances.
• Maintain compliance with ethical guidelines and procedures, always prioritizing the confidentiality and safety of clients.
• Provide crisis intervention support and manage ongoing client needs, ensuring timely responses to emergent situations.
• Regularly assess client progress, adapting therapy strategies as necessary, and documenting sessions in accordance with state regulations.
• Facilitate communication between clients, their families, and other care providers to promote comprehensive support systems.
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and overall patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients from diverse backgrounds who are often facing challenges related to socio-economic factors, including those experiencing major mental illnesses and severe emotional disturbances. Building trust and understanding their unique narratives will be essential in helping them navigate their treatment paths. This role is critical in providing culturally sensitive care that acknowledges and respects the distinct needs of each patient.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is mandatory.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of Virginia is required.
• Strong expertise in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment specific to assigned populations.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Demonstrated organizational and planning abilities, essential for managing a varied caseload.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience as a social worker is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous, enhancing our service capabilities among diverse client groups.

Compensation and Benefits

In recognition of your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive annual salary that ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 85,000, commensurate with experience.
