Work Environment\n

This full-time remote position allows you the flexibility to work primarily from home while traveling to clients' residences for in-person sessions as needed. You will collaborate with a dedicated Child Family Treatment Team and associated professionals, creating a supportive network aimed at improving the lives of children and their families. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized therapy sessions in clients’ homes or through secure telehealth platforms to cater to their unique needs.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.
\n
• Assist clients in reducing high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious actions and physical aggression.
\n
• Guide parents and caregivers in enhancing their decision-making capabilities to tackle in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team, providing feedback and insights to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational protocols.

• Attend regular team meetings to discuss strategies and submit well-informed recommendations for improved client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily involves working with children aged 3 to 20 who are diagnosed with various developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. As a therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing their social skills, emotional regulation, and overall mental health, positively impacting their families in the process. Your expertise in bilingual therapy will enable you to connect effectively with Spanish and Portuguese-speaking families, ensuring they receive the support they need.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5 to 10 hours per week during after-school hours, typically from 4 PM to 7 PM. Weekend availability is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is mandatory.
\n
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to client locations.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check including fingerprinting is essential.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience providing positive behavior support in both therapeutic and educational settings.

• Prior background working with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a significant plus.

• Experience in facilitating family engagement and carrying out therapeutic interventions in community settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
