Work Environment

The physical therapist will work onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in sunny Clearwater, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, restoring muscle function, and maximizing patient performance.
• Oversee physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans, providing guidance, instruction, and support as necessary.
• Utilize diagnostic assessments to evaluate a patient's functional capabilities and prescribe interventions based on clinical evaluations.
• Assess the home environment to provide recommendations that enhance client independence and support rehabilitation goals.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, including manual therapies, progressive resistance exercises, functional training, and assist in activities of daily living.
• Administer and monitor the use of physical agents, such as heat, cold, traction, and electrical stimulation.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries complying with OASIS and other regulatory requirements.
• Engage in multidisciplinary case conferences to discuss and plan comprehensive treatment approaches for patients, contributing to high-quality care and improved patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans, expected outcomes, and the use of assistive devices.
• Adapt treatment exercises and regimens as necessary, taking into consideration a patient's ongoing progress and feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve treating patients recovering from surgery, injury, or illness, particularly those with musculoskeletal or neurologic conditions. You will collaborate with our team to implement strategies that address mobility challenges, enhance recovery speed, and improve quality of life. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a physical therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or home healthcare setting.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida, with maintained good standing.
• Certified in CPR and possess knowledge of safety protocols.
• Possess a valid driver's license and automobile insurance, allowing for patient visits and assessments.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a rehabilitation facility or home health setting is highly desirable.
