Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial consultations through virtual meetings, performing comprehensive mental health evaluations to accurately assess clients' needs.

• Create individualized treatment plans that outline therapeutic goals and methods tailored to each client’s unique situation.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based strategies and therapeutic frameworks.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress throughout each treatment plan, adjusting interventions as needed.
\n
• Collaborate with a network of healthcare professionals, including social workers and nurses, to coordinate care and ensure holistic support for clients.

• Assist in referrals to other specialists when issues outside the mental health scope arise.
\n
• Engage in follow-up communication with psychiatrists regarding clients' medication management, particularly for clients transitioning from inpatient to outpatient care.

• Support families and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, thereby fostering a supportive home environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a licensed mental health counselor at Healthy Wave Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse range of clientele. Your practice will encompass individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and addiction. You will also provide care for couples and families, addressing relational dynamics and offering strategies for conflict resolution and improved communication.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating depth of knowledge in therapeutic practices.
\n
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems, familiarity with AVATAR is preferred.
\n
• Sound understanding of comorbid physical and emotional health conditions, including the complexities of addiction disorders.
\n
• Strong knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage clients empathetically and effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in a telehealth setting is highly desirable, with a comfort level in employing technology for effective therapy.

• Familiarity with community resources and support services to enhance patient care.

• Prior experience addressing substance abuse and dependency issues in a counseling context.

Compensation and Benefits\n
