Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to develop personalized treatment plans for various disabilities and functional limitations.
• Implement and modify therapy interventions based on patient progress and treatment goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress consistently and in compliance with established regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, as well as communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
• Participate in leadership activities aimed at program development, community outreach, and quality improvement.
• Oversee support staff, including therapy aides and students, ensuring that all practices align with our high standards of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and those dealing with chronic pain conditions. Your holistic approach to care will help restore mobility and functionality in these patients, significantly impacting their quality of life. You will also engage with patients of varied backgrounds, ensuring that care is culturally competent and sensitive to each individual's unique situation.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in computer skills, including word processing and electronic medical record maintenance.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, additional qualifications that are highly regarded include:

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Experience in specialized therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, aquatic therapy, or sports rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with patient management software and outcomes tracking systems.
