Work Environment

Your role will be conducted onsite at our comprehensive rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Chula Vista. Our team includes two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), fostering a collaborative work culture aimed at maximizing patient outcomes. Your work hours will be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments to identify physical capabilities and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that integrate various therapeutic techniques, ensuring the most effective care.
• Manage a patient caseload of one patient per hour, optimizing time and resources for each appointment.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation processes to enhance their functional abilities.
• Document all treatment services thoroughly, maintaining comprehensive records in compliance with facility protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care and optimal treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients on the importance of physical health, lifestyle modifications, and self-management strategies to facilitate long-term wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily serves patients with private medical insurance, focusing on orthopedic conditions. You will work closely with individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic pain, tailoring interventions that promote healing and restore function. Your expertise will be critical in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and maintain an active, fulfilling lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) required.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• A clean disciplinary record with no board actions.
• Proven ability to assess patient needs and implement effective treatment plans.
• Strong communication skills to engage with patients and collaborate with team members.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
• Knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT or similar platforms.

Compensation and Benefits
