Work Environment

The position is based on-site at our Chula Vista rehabilitation center, providing a hands-on approach to patient care. You will work in a collaborative, supportive atmosphere with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physicians, and nursing staff. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a stable work-life balance. This full-time role not only allows you to engage directly with patients but also gives you the opportunity to contribute to initiatives that enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to understand their goals, mobility limitations, and specific needs, and then design individualized treatment plans accordingly.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of one patient per hour to provide high-quality, focused treatment sessions.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques alongside therapeutic exercise to enhance patients' recovery during each session.
• Explore and implement cost-effective treatment options aimed at improving functionality while minimizing reliance on medication and promoting non-invasive alternatives.
• Continuously assess patient progress, adjusting care plans and treatment methods as necessary, and document all services performed in our EMR system (familiarity with WebPT is preferred).
• Engage with patients as a motivational coach to instill confidence and encourage active participation in their treatment processes.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care strategies that align with each patient's rehabilitation objectives.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle by educating patients on ways to enhance their strength, flexibility, balance, and overall well-being through tailored fitness and wellness programs.
• Clearly communicate with patients about their treatment goals and progress, ensuring they are informed and involved in their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Strive Physical Therapy, we primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic procedures, sports injuries, and acute or chronic musculoskeletal issues. You will be working with diverse age groups and backgrounds, providing tailored care to meet the expectations and needs of each individual. Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active California Physical Therapist license (CAA) with no disciplinary actions against the license.
• Strong manual therapy skills, complemented by a solid understanding of therapeutic exercise.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient documentation and treatment tracking.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate nature to connect with patients on their rehabilitation journey.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of three years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated ability to develop successful exercise routines based on individual patient needs and limitations.

Compensation and Benefits

Strive Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range between $100,000 and $125,000 annually.
