Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at our Chula Vista location, you will work primarily onsite within our well-equipped facility. Our work schedule is straightforward, operating Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a healthy work-life balance. Collaboration is key here; you will be joining a small team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant, ensuring a supportive and collegial atmosphere as you work collaboratively on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to determine patients' physical capabilities and identify their therapy needs.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that include a variety of treatment techniques, aimed at improving patient movement and reducing pain.
• Assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals through guided therapeutic exercises, gait training, and manual therapy.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure maximum recovery.
• Advocate for patients by providing education on proper body mechanics, exercise regimens, and lifestyle modifications that promote ongoing health and wellness.
• Work in conjunction with other healthcare professionals to create a holistic approach for each patient's treatment journey, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across all involved disciplines.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their recovery processes to foster independence and functional abilities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on patients dealing with orthopedic issues, including post-operative rehabilitation and chronic pain management. Most of our clientele consists of individuals with private medical insurance, allowing for a more personalized approach to their care without the constraints often associated with volume-based practices. The diversity of cases ensures that you will engage with a variety of conditions, keeping your work both interesting and rewarding.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in California.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions or board actions against your license.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable, as is a proven track record with manual therapy techniques.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to effectively manage patient documentation and treatment plans.
• Effective skills in developing and leading customized exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package accentuating your contributions to our patients' recovery journeys.
