We are actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Physio Recovery Center in San Diego, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping patients regain movement and function through personalized care plans tailored to their unique health journeys. Our center spans an impressive 5,000 square feet, equipped with state-of-the-art sports medicine technology. We primarily serve patients with private medical insurance and pride ourselves on maintaining a collaborative, patient-centered approach in a welcoming atmosphere.

Work Environment

As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will interact directly with a small group of passionate professionals, including two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant. Our facility fosters a collaborative environment, where continuing education is encouraged, and high standards of patient care are the norm. The work hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life while serving the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patients' needs, goals, and progress.
• Design and implement effective treatment plans utilizing diverse therapeutic modalities.
• Conduct sessions for 2-3 patients per hour, maintaining a high standard of care.
• Provide hands-on treatment, focusing on improving movement and reducing pain.
• Incorporate evidence-based practices to deliver personalized patient care.
• Advise patients on reducing medication reliance and exploring alternatives to surgery.
• Engage in patient education to promote understanding of their health and wellness.
• Track patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain accurate documentation using EMR software, such as WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
• Encourage and motivate patients to achieve their personal rehabilitation goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will primarily benefit patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal challenges. By focusing on individual patient needs and employing a variety of therapeutic techniques, you'll play a pivotal role in their recovery and rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in California (no disciplinary actions or board actions).
• Strong manual therapy skills and a thorough understanding of orthopedic outpatient practices.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including WebPT.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive patient relationships.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating your ability to manage diverse cases.
• Familiarity with contemporary treatment methodologies and techniques for optimal patient outcomes.
• Experience in fitness and wellness program development tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range between USD 90,000 and 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
