We are actively seeking a full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team in San Diego, California. In this vital role, you will partner with patients to restore their physical movement and enhance their overall quality of life. Vitality Empower Physical Therapy is a premier, PT-owned orthopedic outpatient practice located in a state-of-the-art 5,000 square-foot sports medicine facility. Our clinic is equipped with modern therapeutic technologies and has earned a reputation for excellence in patient care, predominantly serving individuals with private medical insurance. Our dedicated team currently consists of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant, all committed to providing the highest standard of rehabilitative care.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation center, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged within a supportive environment. You will have the opportunity to work shoulder-to-shoulder with fellow practitioners, sharing insights, skills, and techniques to foster an enriching workplace dedicated to patient health. Our standard work schedule offers a balanced Monday to Friday routine from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a manageable workload while maintaining quality patient interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and address each patient's unique health goals and therapeutic needs through thorough assessments.
• Manage a streamlined patient caseload, providing one-on-one therapy sessions with each individual, maximizing personal attention and care.
• Design and implement innovative, cost-effective treatment plans that enhance patients' range of motion and functional mobility.
• Reduce dependency on prescription medications through comprehensive, non-invasive methods and therapies.
• Develop tailored fitness and wellness programs that address the specific needs of each patient, enhancing their overall health and physical capabilities.
• Utilize evidence-based practice to deliver high-quality personalized care, ensuring optimal treatment outcomes.
• Engage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation, inspiring them to achieve their full functional potential.
• Encourage a healthier lifestyle in patients by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through tailored exercise interventions.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care.
• Conduct regular evaluations of treatment effectiveness, monitor progress, and maintain detailed documentation of all patient interactions and therapies provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve treating patients whose needs range from post-operative rehabilitation to preventative care and performance enhancement. You will engage with a diverse clientele, including athletes and active individuals seeking to regain strength and mobility after injuries. Our focus on orthopedic rehabilitation allows you to leverage specialized knowledge and therapeutic techniques tailored to individual recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in California.
• Free of any disciplinary actions or professional findings against the license.
• Proven proficiency in manual therapy techniques, contributing to effective patient outcomes.
• Strong competency in developing customized exercise protocols that align with evidenced-based practices.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to document patient interactions effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, enhancing your ability to address patient needs with a robust set of clinical skills.
• Background in developing and facilitating patient educational programs to enhance health literacy.
• Additional certifications in specialty areas of physical therapy, such as sports rehabilitation, manual therapy, or specific exercise methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
