Position Overview

New Life Physical Therapy and Wellness Center is searching for an exceptional full-time Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will become a pivotal member of our rehabilitation practice located in beautiful Chula Vista, California. Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating, diagnosing, and developing personalized treatment plans to help patients regain their mobility and enhance their overall well-being. You will be the go-to advocate for our patients, supporting them to achieve their functional goals through innovative approaches in physical therapy.

Our facility covers 5000 square feet and features state-of-the-art equipment designed for sports medicine and rehabilitation. With a team of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), we focus primarily on orthopedic outpatient services. Our goal is to empower patients with private medical insurance to lead healthier, more active lives through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Work Environment

You will be working onsite in our modern rehabilitation facility, where our culture promotes teamwork, open communication, and patient-centered care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Our facility is well-equipped, featuring the latest technologies in therapy modalities and rehabilitation equipment to ensure optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations for patients, identifying their specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Provide one-on-one physical therapy sessions at a patient load of approximately one patient per hour.
• Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans encompassing a variety of therapeutic approaches.
• Administer cost-effective and evidence-based therapies aimed at improving patients' range of motion, strength, and overall functionality.
• Regularly evaluate and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for each patient.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes within an EMR system like WebPT.
• Encourage patients to engage in prescribed fitness and wellness programs tailored to their specific conditions.
• Advocate for non-surgical solutions and educate patients about healthier lifestyle choices to minimize medication dependency.
• Foster a supportive and motivating environment, helping patients remain focused and inspired throughout their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation. Most individuals are covered by private medical insurance. This role requires you to address a diverse range of musculoskeletal injuries, promoting recovery from surgeries, accidents, and chronic pain issues. As a physical therapist in our facility, your expertise will significantly influence the health outcomes and quality of life for our patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop and implement individualized exercise programs.
• Experience utilizing EMR software such as WebPT for patient documentation and care management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated success in patient engagement and outcomes through customized rehabilitation programs.

Compensation and Benefits
