Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our specialized Rehabilitation Center, designed to create a supportive atmosphere for both staff and patients. The center features state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and facilities, promoting a holistic approach to orthopedic recovery. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a consistent schedule that allows for work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and functional evaluations to accurately determine physical capabilities and limitations of each patient.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with patient goals, integrating techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
• Administer manual therapy techniques, including joint mobilization and soft tissue manipulation, to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Implement patient education strategies to empower individuals to take active roles in their recovery process, enhancing their understanding of their conditions.
• Monitor progress through meticulous documentation and re-evaluations, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to coordinate care and address the diverse needs of patients.
• Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices, integrating new methodologies and evidence-based approaches into treatment regimens.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients suffering from orthopedic injuries, sports-related injuries, and those undergoing post-surgical rehabilitation. Our patient population ranges from adolescent athletes to senior adults seeking recovery from joint replacements. You will engage with patients of all ages, fostering a therapeutic alliance that is crucial for effective rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and functional assessments.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and educate patients effectively.
• Ability to collaborate efficiently with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in implementing advanced therapies, such as Pilates-based rehabilitation or postoperative recovery protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation software.
• Continued education in specialized areas of physical therapy, such as sports rehabilitation or geriatric care.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, complemented by comprehensive benefits.
