Vital Core Physical Therapy is actively seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in Chula Vista, California. As a full-time member of our rehabilitation facility, you will play a critical role in helping patients recover from orthopedic conditions, enhancing their mobility and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients by analyzing their physical condition, which includes assessing strength, range of motion, and functional abilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored specifically to each patient's needs, setting realistic goals and outlining the therapeutic approaches to be used.
• Implement evidence-based interventions such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, neuromuscular re-education, and various modalities to promote recovery.
• Educate patients on injury prevention strategies, proper body mechanics, posture, ergonomics, and self-management techniques to empower them in their recovery process.
• Monitor and document patient progress , making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and maintaining accurate records within our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Collaborate with referring physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare providers to deliver integrated care that addresses all aspects of patient health.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and share insights that can aid in patient management.
• If applicable, mentor physical therapist assistants (PTAs) and students , providing guidance to enhance their skills and promote a collaborative learning environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our diverse client base includes athletes, active adults, and older adults seeking to return to their daily activities pain-free and improved function. Your role is pivotal in not just managing their conditions, but also ensuring they leave with the knowledge and skills to prevent future injuries.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.
• A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is required.

Preferred Experience

• Strong manual therapy skills, with a focus on treating sports injuries, postoperative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management.
• Proven ability to create and implement effective treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Experience in utilizing modern rehabilitation equipment and EMR systems to enhance patient performance and tracking.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including:
