Work Environment

Our Chula Vista location fosters a collaborative and supportive environment, comprising a talented team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). The center promotes a culture of ongoing professional development and teamwork, ensuring that every member is dedicated to delivering high-quality care to our patients. The operational hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a consistent schedule for our staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of new patients to determine their individual needs and devise personalized treatment plans.
• Manage patient caseloads efficiently, typically seeing one patient per hour, ensuring that time is dedicated to quality care and effective interventions.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve mobility, strength, and overall patient wellness.
• Implement and modify fitness and wellness programs tailored to each individual's unique goals and rehabilitation needs.
• Document progress meticulously through EMR systems such as WebPT, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Motivate and educate patients throughout the healing process, fostering a positive environment to maximize engagement in their recovery.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, including physicians and specialists, to optimize patient care outcomes.
• Monitor and assess treatment efficacy, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal results.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions that affect their musculoskeletal health. Our clients typically seek to enhance their physical capabilities and reduce pain through specialized therapeutic interventions, making each interaction meaningful and instilling hope in their journey to recovery.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure a high level of clinical knowledge and practice.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California, with no documented disciplinary actions.
• Experience with manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of therapeutic exercise regimens.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to track patient progress and treatment outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• We prefer candidates with prior experience specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings, as familiarity with this patient demographic is crucial.
• Experience in developing comprehensive treatment plans that effectively utilize a variety of rehabilitation methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
