Work Environment

The successful candidate will work on-site at our Chula Vista Rehabilitation Center in a dynamic, supportive environment that fosters professional growth and development. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to recognize and fulfill the individual objectives and rehabilitation requirements of each patient.
• Manage a patient load to provide dedicated care, typically seeing one patient per hour to ensure personalized attention.
• Transition patients through their recovery journey with comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques tailored to their specific needs.
• Utilize your expertise in manual therapy, exercise planning, and evidence-based practices to enhance clients' range of motion and overall mobility.
• Encourage patient activation by minimizing reliance on medications and emphasizing non-surgical alternatives whenever possible.
• Design innovative fitness and wellness programs that improve strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination.
• Monitoring and documenting patients' progress using EMR Software, ensuring consistent and clear communication with the care team.
• Collaborate with other health professionals, participating in case discussions to optimize patient outcomes.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their treatment, promoting adherence to therapy and lifestyle changes.
• Evaluate and communicate the effectiveness of treatment interventions and adjust as necessary for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid, active Physical Therapist license in the state of California, with no record of board or disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program development.
• Familiarity with EMR software systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, providing therapy to a diverse patient demographic.
• Demonstrated success in designing individualized rehabilitation programs and achieving positive patient outcomes.
• Experience in collaborative healthcare environments, enhancing interdisciplinary communication and patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
