Work Environment

This position is onsite at our San Diego facility, where you will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our collaborative environment ensures that each team member's insights contribute to comprehensive patient care, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes and fostering their wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' needs, goals, and functional limitations.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on best practices and evidence-based methods, ensuring a patient-centered approach.
• Manage a patient caseload, providing individualized sessions with a focus on cultivating trust and motivating patients throughout their therapeutic journeys.
• Utilize hands-on manual therapy techniques alongside exercise interventions to improve patients' mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment protocols as needed.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments provided, and progress in our EMR system, specifically using WebPT, to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and wellness initiatives that foster long-term health.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including referring physicians and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Engage in professional development activities to stay abreast of changes in physical therapy practices and enhance your proficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, sports-related injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will provide care aimed at enhancing their overall physical abilities, with particular attention to restoring function and managing pain effectively. Your compassionate approach will help encourage adherence to rehabilitation programs and foster a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) strongly preferred.
• Current and valid California license to practice as a Physical Therapist, with an untarnished professional record free from disciplinary actions.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and evidence-based exercise protocols guided by current research.
• Experience utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to manage patient information efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to establish rapport with patients and motivate them throughout their treatment journeys.
• Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with the healthcare team and document patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
